100 Mile House
100 Mile House is named for being a landmark from the town of Lillooet on the 'Old Cariboo Gold Rush Trail.' Rich in history and renowned for all the lakes that surround it, 100 Mile House is a fishing paradise. Lakes such as Lac Des Roche, Canim, Bridge, Sheridan and Green Lake are but a few that yield large size trout and kokanee.

'The Fishing Highway'
The fishing is so good around 100 Mile House, that Highway 24 from the Lone Butte turnoff to Little Fort has been nicknamed 'The Fishing Highway.' This 97 km (61 miles) highway contains lots of lakes and fishing lodges with guides to help you find some record-sized fish.

Resorts and Fishing Lodges
Some resorts and fishing lodges that you will find along Highway 24 include:

  • Lac Des Roches One of the finest resorts in the area with an array of facilities offering plenty to do.
  • Canim Lake Resort Features lakeshore log cabins sleeping up to 6 people. (seiten in deutch)
  • Sheridan Park Resort The resort is in a park-like setting situated on the south west end of Sheridan Lake in a secluded bay surrounded by pristine wilderness. A great spot to enjoy peace and relaxation.

Winter Recreation
Besides fishing, 100 Mile House has excellent snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and ice skating available. There is also a community ski hill close by called Mt. Timothy that is great for the family or for someone learning how to ski or snowboard.

Summer Months
During the summer months, enjoy horseback riding, hiking, and canoeing in the miles of backcountry you'll find around 100 Mile House. There are a couple of great swimming beaches located at 108 Mile House and Sopa Lakes to help you cool off.

Accommodation
100 Mile House has an excellent range of accommodations and services. Most of the motels are located right on Hwy 97 as you drive through the town. A favourite you might try is the Red Coach Inn on the north side.

Friendly People
There is a great restaurant at the Red Coach Inn if you are hungry and looking for good food. If you like some local flavour, try Shields Gold Dust Café located off Hwy 97 in the main part of town. Good portions plus lots of friendly people.

Good Selection of Stores
If you're travelling through and need supplies, 100 Mile House has a good selection of stores including an Overwaitea located on the north side. There are also some 24-hour gas stations if you are looking for some fuel or coffee late at night.

Provincial Campgrounds
If you have an RV or like tenting, try the provincial campground at Green Lake. This crystal clear lake is located on the south side of 100 Mile House. Watch for signs along Hwy 97 showing access points. There are also a number of RV resorts in the area if the campground is full.

Lac La Hache
Located just north of 108 Mile Ranch is the small community of Lac La Hache. Noted for it's great fishing and clear water Lac La Hache offers a few fishing resorts for the willing angler. There is a provincial campground located on the north side of town offering campsites and boat launch.
