The main highlight of Boundary Creek Provincial Park is the quiet setting situated next to banks of Boundary Creek. The park makes a great spot to enjoy a picnic lunch while travelling Hwy 3 or when cycling east towards the Trans-Canada KVR Trail at Midway.

Hwy 3

There are a number of private campsites next to Boundary Creek, with the others bordering or adjacent to Hwy 3. Some campsites in the campground are smaller, quite open and not very private but do have some shade. There are are no trails present or children's playground area.

Recreational Activities
With the proper angling license Boundary Creek can offer you some fishing opportunities for smaller size Brook and Rainbow trout. Other recreational activities include exploring around Greenwood where there are remains of slag piles near the remains of the BC Copper Company smelter which from 1901 to 1918 employed about 400 people.

Boundary Creek
If you are lucky to camp next to Boundary Creek there are a few places for wildlife watching or kids to play next to the water. A number of sites sit next to small pools that could be used for a place for kids to cool off in the summer season. There are no lifeguards present and swimming or playing next to the creek is at your own risk.

Phoenix
Other exploring nearby to Boundary Creek Provincial Park include taking the backroad through he mining areas that once contained the bustling mine and town at Phoenix. Along the way make sure you take the time to visit the old cemetery that contains a number of historic headstones from the past.

Jewel Lake Provincial Park
One other provincial park near Boundary Creek definitely worth visiting is situated on the east side of Greenwood is Jewel Lake Provincial Park. Here you can find a very quiet remote campground with 26 vehicle-accessible campsites where there is lots of privacy and but generally smaller in size not suitable for larger trailers or big RV's. Close by to the park on the west side of the lake is Jewel Lake Resort where you can rent boats, get fishing advice or a home-cooked meal.

Greenwood

Here you can find a number of businesses and attractions including grocery stores, cafés, museum, pub, historic buildings, electrical substation, a Stop of Interest sign plus a favourite coffee shop in the Boundary Region called the Copper Eagle Cappuccino and Bakery.

Bear Country
Just remember if you are enjoying the provincial parks and the countryside around British Columbia, please remember this is bear country. Try to avoid the rivers during heavy salmon spawning times unless you feel comfortable with bears around and take the usual precautions.
